Digita is first to be awarded accreditation for tax software from the ICAEW

01 February 2005

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and Digita, today jointly announced that Digita's personal tax product is the first to be awarded the prestigious ICAEW Information Technology Products accreditation for tax software.

Digita Taxability Pro, already winner of the Lexis Nexis UK Tax Award, becomes Digita's second product to receive accreditation from the ICAEW following Digita Accounts Pro accreditation last year.

The ICAEW tax accreditation programme provides independent information to members looking to choose tax software to meet their individual needs. To achieve accreditation, Digita underwent a strict independent technical evaluation to review functionality, security, reporting, ease of use, technical design, suitability for the target market and product support.

Digita Managing Director, Jerry Rihll said:

"We are delighted that the R&D that goes into our products has been rewarded with this accreditation. We have made some important upgrades in recent months including more time-saving and risk-reducing features."
Craig McLellan of the ICAEW Accredited IT Product Scheme commented:

"As part of our accreditation process, products must meet our rigorous quality standard. We are satisfied that Taxability Pro reaches the standard for our tax accreditation."
The accreditation report is available from under tax accreditations.
