Hazlewoods invests in Digita

19 May 2005

Gloucestershire based business adviser and chartered accountants, Hazlewoods, has upgraded its taxation software by switching to Digita’s award-winning tax software.

The 15 partner firm has three offices in Gloucester, Cheltenham and Staverton employing around 150 staff with a range of accountancy, audit, taxation and business advisory services as well as specialist industry sector departments.

The firm has been using Digita’s company secretarial software since 1999 and based upon their good experiences turned to the expanding software developer for their taxation requirements. Digita’s personal tax software won the Lexis Nexis UK Best Tax Software award in 2003 and is the only tax product accredited by both the ICAEW and Microsoft.

Tony Flambard, the Hazlewoods partner in charge of IT said:

"Accountancy practices and business advisers must strive to continually improve their client services and add value to the client relationship."

"As part of our plans for strategic growth, we have made this considerable investment in upgrading our IT capability to ensure that we have the very best software available to meet this growing commitment to client care."

"We were impressed with the flexibility and ease of use of the Digita software which has a number of key features including a client review tool enabling our practitioners to save a lot of time and reduce risk by instantly comparing current tax returns to previous ones."

In addition to supplying Personal Tax, Digita is also supplying Hazlewoods with its Business Tax which focuses upon making partnership taxation easier. Digita replaced a well known supplier of tax software and Digita was successful in overcoming strong competition from two other major suppliers.

Digita Product Manager David Johnson said:

"Hazlewoods is a forward-looking and expanding firm with well respected partners and a discriminating client base. We are delighted to be able to contribute to further improving the first class service on which they have established an enviable reputation."

Digita begins a nationwide roadshow programme in June focusing on software risk management features. Places can be reserved by visiting www.digita.com/change or calling 01395 270 311.
