Thomson Reuters Software is Shortlisted for British Accountancy Award 2013

24 September 2013

Digita Company Secretarial has been shortlisted in this year’s British Accountancy Awards. The practice software house, which is part of the Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters, has been named as a finalist in the Practice Software Product of the Year Award.

The company strategy is to combine industry expertise with innovative technology to give accountants the most comprehensive integrated solutions available, backed up by industry-leading customer support.

Digita Company Secretarial version 10 was launched in July 2012. Using the latest technology, it provides an integrated company secretarial solution for the Digita Professional Suite of practice software. It shares the look and feel of the other elements of the Suite and more importantly, shares client entity and address information to save users time and allows customers to import and compare the practice's records with those held at Companies House. The solution also brings the benefit of Sentinel, its unique Companies House filing monitor, that automatically advises users when any new forms are filed against their clients at Companies House. This can help to protect against filing fraud and inadvertent strike-off.

"I would not be without Digita Company Secretarial,"
Elizabeth Eyre, partner, Elizabeth Eyre Limited, commented.
"It allows me to file electronically with Companies House and adds an extra layer of security that clients like. Security is an important issue and we have won new business because we have a reputation for using technology to file securely."

"We are delighted that Thomson Reuters has been named as a finalist in the British Accountancy Awards,"
commented Andrew Flanagan, Digita managing director, Thomson Reuters.
"Version 10 represents a completely new version of the product.. It uses a new programming language and has a new modern interface that is consistent with the other Digita Practice Management products."

Now in its third year, the British Accountancy Awards take place on the November 20, 2013 at the Pavillion at the Tower in Central London. The Awards aim to highlight professional development and to highlight those that have demonstrated excellence in their profession during the last twelve months.
