Thomson Reuters Adds Latest Generation Integrated Company Secretarial Software to Digita Professional Suite

03 October 2012

Exmouth, 3 October 2012 - Thomson Reuters today announced the latest release of its Digita Company Secretarial software. This new addition to the integrated Digita Professional suite utilises the latest technology platform and a new intuitive user interface to submit and retrieve Companies House information online and to take care of routine record maintenance and reporting.

Digita Company Secretarial is now a fully integrated part of the Digita Professional Suite that includes Accounts Production, Personal Tax, Corporation Tax and Practice Management. It maintains the company statutory records which are shared across the suite to streamline the preparation of accounts and tax returns. Digita Company Secretarial has a long and successful track record and over the last fifteen years has been used by hundreds of accounting practices and corporations to maintain their statutory records in compliance with the Companies Act. Most notably, Digita Company Secretarial was used to transmit the first fully audited set of iXBRL accounts received by Companies House in 2011.

"The latest version of Company Secretarial is a significant enhancement to our product range. By adding Company Secretarial to their Digita suite, accountants can ease the burden of compliance and make filings more accurate and easier to manage. They will benefit from the increased reliability and greater efficiency that a single, shared source of statutory information brings."
said Andrew Flanagan, Managing Director, Digita.

Key features include:

'Sentinel' filing monitor to proactively monitor Companies House and alert users to all filings made for their companies. This has many benefits, not least to help to protect against filing fraud.Companies House import and cross check permits new client companies to be added to Company Secretarial by importing their details from Companies House. Details can be crosschecked subsequently at any time to ensure that local records still match Companies House.

Filing Deadlines tracking helps to avoid late filing penalties and even potential striking off. Deadline dates can be verified against Companies House and are updated automatically when documents are filed and accepted.
