COMPANIES HOUSE AND HMRC EXPERTS TO ADDRESS DIGITA CONFERENCE

11 December 2009

"If practitioners want to learn the real facts about the Companies Act 2006, the ongoing impact of Carter and what effect mandatory online filing using iXBRL will have, then Digita’s 2010 Conference is the place to be."

That was the clear message coming from Thomson Reuters owned Digita when the company announced that representatives from both Companies House and HMRC will be addressing the software developers eighth annual conference in March next year.

Event organiser Karen Gardner said:

"Our annual conference is regarded by the industry as an unmatched opportunity for delegates to learn from industry leaders and peers about best practices, tools and trends that will strengthen their practice through focused educational sessions, professional association and networking.

"The fact that Companies House and HMRC regard Digita’s conference as a major platform for conveying their key messages directly to practitioners is also a testimony to the quality and significance of the event."

Julian Hatt, Customer Strategy & Policy Specialist at HMRC will be looking at the Carter Programme with a talk tantalisingly entitled,

"Looking Forward, Glimpsing Back"
, while Arthur West, Companies House Customer Insight Manager, will discuss
"The Companies Act 2006 and How the Changes are Affecting the Practitioner."

The 8th Annual Digita Conference takes place at the Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel and Country Club on 18/19 March 2010. Further information and registration is available by visiting http://www.digita.com/conference2010
