HILLIER HOPKINS ACQUIRE DIGITA TAX SOFTWARE

30 March 2009

Hillier Hopkins LLP is the latest accountancy practice to acquire Digita’s suite of tax products having successfully trialled Digita Personal, Business & Trust Tax.

The 21 partner firm, which has offices in Mayfair, Aylesbury, Hemel Hempstead and Watford plan for a full roll out in time for the new tax year having changed to Digita from CCH’s PerTAX.

Principal Joel Harding said:

"The tax software we were using was to undergo significant change so it was an appropriate time to look at the market.

"We considered there were only two real options and we liked the look and layout of Digita’s product. There are many features we like about the software including:
• TaxAware feature provides more risk management information than the current system and is clearer.
• For a small cost we have a share listing for all shares listed on the UK stock market & AIM which will put in all divs paid (you just have to enter the number of shares held).
• An automated onscreen tax return review tool makes comparisons between the current year and the previous year.
• There is an automatic reminder system for outstanding information.
• Tax return tracker updates dates automatically as return completion progresses."

Dermot Hamblin, Digita Head of Sales said:

"We are pleased to welcome Hillier Hopkins LLP as a Digita client. After a very thorough evaluation, Digita products have again proved to offer significant business benefits to the practice. The additional functionality we offer makes a difference every day, and therefore, in these challenging economic times; Digita Personal Tax offers unique functionality to enable firms to streamline their processes.

"Our proven data conversion service offers a seamless transfer and ensures that Hillier Hopkins experience a smooth transition of data during implementation. We look forward to a long partnership."
