Head Start for Digita Customers

08 April 2008

Digita Personal Tax software users have a head start this year as the latest version supporting 2008 tax returns began shipping last week.

This new version is fully compliant with the new HMRC requirements for producing copy tax returns and includes internet filing for personal, partnership and trust tax returns, together with attachments such as those needed to support capital gains tax calculations.

With a host of new features and additional functionality, particularly in the areas of foreign tax, with automatic calculation of Foreign Tax Credit Relief, excluded income and the Dual Residency and Non-UK Resident worksheets (IR302 and IR304), Digita users have the most effective software to help them through the most difficult year for the profession since the introduction of self assessment.

Peter Chalk, proprietor of Peter Chalk & RPP Taxation Services Ltd in Grantham commented,

"I was very impressed with both the speedy release of the update, and the ease of installation which has gone without a hitch. We have already filed online and this was as always smooth and straightforward."

Digita customers are used to receiving their tax software on time and without fuss, so it’s no wonder that Digita Personal Tax is again a finalist in the category of LexisNexis Best Tax Software, the profession’s most prestigious award, maintaining Digita’s remarkable record of being the only software finalist every year since the awards began in 2001. Digita has won the coveted title of ‘Best Tax Software’ three times, 2003, 2006 and 2007.

Winners in the LexisNexis Taxation Awards 2008 will be announced on the night of 22 May at a gala dinner at The London Hilton Hotel.
