Exactly one year on from the Carter Report, the full implications of the proposed changes concerning dates and the use of electronic filing will be under the spotlight at accountancy software developer Digita’s March conference.

Now in its 5th year, this unique conference is attended by a whole range of accounting professionals from Partners in Top 10 firms to sole practitioners.

Delegates will be briefed by Julian Hatt, HMRC’s Head of Communications & Stakeholder Engagement for the Carter Change Programme, who has been tasked with ensuring that the changes to online services in response to Carter properly reflect HMRC’s customers’ needs and priorities.

Julian Hatt explained:

"My role is to ensure that we work effectively with our customers so that we understand and cater for the communication and support needs of a diverse range of consumers."

Digita has confirmed that Julian Hatt will be supported by expert tax presenters from Chiltern plc and Top 10 firms Baker Tilly and Smith & Williamson.

Confirmation of more speakers from the industry is expected soon along with further details of user groups, training workshops and new product demonstrations.

The 2007 Digita Annual Conference takes place at the Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel and Country Club near Coventry on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th March.
