Case Study - Mazuma

Cardiff based practice, Mazuma, offers a full range of accounting, bookkeeping and tax services to a wide range of predominantly small businesses and SMEs.

However, their services come with a difference. Each month Mazuma’s trademark purple envelopes are sent in by their clients, containing sales invoices, receipts, bank statements, returns, and a whole range of other accounts related paperwork.

Mazuma then prepares monthly management accounts for their clients so that each can monitor how their business is doing month-by-month, instead of year-by-year.

Mazuma launched their Mazuma Associates franchise on 1st October 2008 to a tremendous response. The business is growing and there are now four offices across the UK.

The software:

Mazuma became Digita customers in April 2008 acquiring an integrated suite of products including Digita Personal, Business and Corporate Tax including Deferred Tax as well as Digita Contact Manager. The practice is looking to add Digita Company Secretarial to the suite in 2009.

Director Lucy Cohen was formerly an accountant with Cardiff City Council where she was involved in the implementation of SAP across the council.

We can generate client letters and reports at will with all the right information, client friendly tax computation reports also make life much easier for us.

We have also been very impressed with the technical support and level of communications with Digita.

We want to grow the business and I can see Digita playing a very important role in our ambitions, it is one of our recommended software to our franchisees and has been well received by staff."
