Purpose of Job
- To participate in the overall strategic planning & operational management of the business.
- To lead new sales and renewals in the Tax and Accounting software for accountants market, in the UK and Ireland.
- To build, oversee and motivate the internal and external sales team .
- To oversee the managent of the key accounts.
- To create a Sales Plan. Define and implement the channel strategy for each market segment.
- To create and develop a sales analytics function and to be proactive to meet objectives.
- To coordinate sales with marketing initiatives.
- To meet company objectives for sales.
Responsibilities
Overview:
- Delivery of the annual sales plan.
- Formulation and implementation of sales plans for market segments.
- Ongoing development of sales team through training and support.
- Involvement in recruitment and selection of sales staff.
Corporate:
- Development and delivery of Sales strategy to match group objectives.
- Advise senior management on new sales opportunities and ensure the achievement of the company business plan and corporate objectives.
- To be involved in managing the risk of the reputation to the business.
Sales and Marketing:
- Define channel strategy. Manage a set budget to invest in sales resources, to drive maximum return on investment.
- Define and implement commission scheme to align sales teams to the company objectives.
- Maximize annual retention and cross-selling opportunities, using the most cost effective channels across the existing customer base.
- Drive new business in existing clients and new markets for existing products.
- Train and develop sales team to continually improve selling skills.
- Create and share marketing information to inform risk assessment and involvement in pricing strategies.
Management:
- Establish, agree, monitor and manage the attainment of individual personal performance and self-development objectives for any direct reports.
- Manage direct reports to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained, and are working towards the achievement of the corporate objectives.
- Propose salary levels for direct reports for approval.
- Provide a personal mentoring role to immediate reports.
Responsibilities
- Significant relevant sales experience (ie software, the accountancy marketplace).
